Fall 2004 Poems

These are some of my most recent poems that I have written. I find myself writing almost everyday, and ideas for poems seem to surface everywhere I turn. I have become really comfortable with poetry as a medium of expression for me, and I feel that my "voice" is becoming more defined and more clear. I have been reading a lot of poetry, and I have found several poets who really inspire me. (For any poetry buffs who might be interested, Mary Oliver is my all time favorite. I also quite enjoy David Whyte and Billy Collins.) Throughout the process of writing, Loren has been (and continues to be) invaluable as an editor. We are quite a team.

Please enjoy these simple offerings. I hope they give a little beauty to your day and perhaps inspire you to be more aware of the simple gifts, the everyday sacred that surrounds you.
