Madeleine's Poems

If I Could Fly

If I could fly, I would encircle the earth,
and soar to each and every location of birth.
If I could fly, I would extend my arms, above my view,
and feel as though, the terrestrial sphere is new.
If I could fly, I’d gaze upon the pale moon,
and know I’d land there, sometimes soon.
If I could fly, I would experience the tender breeze,
and glide about the earth with royal ease.
If I could fly, I would hear,
the screeching of the very rear.
If I could fly, It’d be neat,
I’d always get the bestest seat.
If I could fly, I would love,
the freedom sent to me to love.

A Bubble

A bubble is a curious thing,
It wonders where to go.
It shimmers in the luminous sky,
It bustles to and fro.

A bubble is a foamy thing,
It has a short brief life.
It’s colors are the rainbow,
All simple and aglow.

A bubble can do many movements,
Flips and turns in all directions.
Bubbles are exquisite objects,
Always moving to perfection.

My Imaginary Circus!

A bunch of different events can happen at my imaginary circus.
Bunnies leap through hoops and goofy
Clowns dressed up in stripes,
Dive into pools from 20 feet high!
Elephants from Africa
Fly to and fro while
Giraffes play
Hide and seek!
I like to watch as the
Jell-O jiggles up and down and side to side.
Kites fly high up in the sky, but only to
Land on a bowl full of
Mashed potatoes. While
Noodles sing
Opera and play the tuba,
Peaches and pears fall from midair!
Queens
Run races, and eat
Snickerdoodles, and
Tasty treats.
Umbrellas play the
Violin and viola
While
X-rays are being taken of telephones.
Yellow and green
Zebras are sprinting next to zooming fat pigs on motorcycles.

The Ocean

The ocean owns a sense of peace,
And the cry of beaming geese.

The ocean owns abundant waves,
And near the bottom several caves.

The ocean owns a coast nearby,
And once in a while gives a sigh.

The ocean owns the gorgeous shells,
And the voice that never yells.

The ocean owns the lovely shore,
And never asks for any more.
