Today Anne gave birth to our second grandchild and first granddaughter, Emmeline Anne Brown was born. She weighs 7 lbs. 12 oz. and has dark hair. Big brother Kenyon is very excited — although in fact probably more excited to have his Nana sleeping over in his bedroom every night! Hope the kids sleep a lot, so the adults can get a nap here and there too! We wish we could be there, but are grateful for technology that helps us feel like we are almost there.

Tess is engaged!
Tess is officially engaged to Trevor Sudweeks! He “surprised” her with a ring last night and she hasn’t quit smiling since. They are perfect for each other and fit into each other’s families so well. Many people have even suggested that Trevor looks a bit like Elliot. He’s a great guy and we are so happy that they have found each other! The credit for pictures goes to Trevor’s mom, Bev, who was hanging out in the bushes with her camera!

Florida with the Collettes
Lucky us, during spring break, we met our New Hampshire friends in Florida and spent a fun week right on a beautiful beach near St. Petersburg. Our condo was spacious with an ocean view and every day except for one was sunny. We took lots of walks on the beach, sat by the pool, soaked in the hot tub, ate too much and too often, and played a few rounds of Canasta. One of the days we decided to take a day trip into Orlando to check out Universal Studios and the new Harry Potter World. Expensive…but fun! We even tried butter beer 🙂

Happy New Year 2015!!
Celebrating this year with some of Tess’s friends and of course all of our kids. Alan’s cheese fondue was at its best and of course fresh fruit dipped in chocolate is so delish. I have a feeling 2015 is going to be a great year! We have a lot of great events to be looking forward to…should keep us very busy!
Christmas with Kenyon
We loved having our 2-year-old grandson Kenyon with us for two weeks. Before he came, I pulled out and washed our small wooden kitchen with all the plastic food and dishes and the McDonalds for him to play with. He loved it all – especially the wooden fruits and vegetables I bought for him to practice cutting up! It was amazing to me how long he would play by doing the same things over and over and over again.
