Me with the amazing Esther. The two people on the sides are friends she invited to the party. Esther is from the Bronx and was born in 1934, I think (or around there)!
Carolina and Abigail Chavez. We would go over to their mother Magdalena's house to teach their friend Juan Carlos.
Kike (short for Enrique), his wife Ana, and their kids (Minerva and ?). Kike speaks only in English to his daughter and she's nearly bilingual.
Andrea and Claudio (the father of our investigator, Gerardo) and their youngest, Isidora. They're from Chile. They have three other boys that were running around somewhere.
Snow in Azuqueca! Hno. Arjona had me take pictures because his camera was broken and this is the second time he's seen snow in Azuqueca in eight years.
(Can you find Spike?)
The Belén at the temple.
At Magdalena's with Juan Carlos and Erika (another daughter) and her kids. Juan Carlos is from Perú.
My desk in Azuqueca just before I packed it all up. Bye, bye, Azuqueca!
Welcome to Aranjuez! We live upstairs in the back of the house.
The street we live on (C/ Abdón Bordoy). Our house is on the right, behind the trees.
My top bunk bed and my little desk.
That's my breakfast: a bowl of almond and strawberry muesli with a banana sliced into it. Yum!
Christmas morning, opening presents.

Nichole made that pillowcase herself. On top is her first pieced square -- she's been really getting into quilting.
Thanks so much, fam.!
Christmas Dinner. Elder Barr bought the chicken and I supplied the rest.
I just had to take a picture. See that broccoli, Mom? I'm eating my vegetables. And I'm wearing one of my new Christmas ties.
