January 2003
New Year's Eve —
Fondue
We invited the new year in with a fondue party. We did
oil, cheese and chocolate — Yum Yum! This year we had my Aunt Lesa with her
husband and kids join us, along with my sister Melinda and her husband Jared.
There is nothing like eating all night!!! Do you like our 2003 glasses?
School
Stuff
Everyone has been working hard at school. Clark has
created a picture of his ecosystem (our back yard), and he was the cutest Jack
(of Beanstalk fame) for his Fairy Tale Day. Phillip was the only student invited
to play with the adults teachers who presented Waterford's Concert for a
Winter's Eve. It was an excellent program — Phillip did well. Pat and Wally came
and brought Aunt Shirley for another "field trip." Now, she's always asking what
fun thing we are going to do next!
Alan's New
Job
After months of waiting (to no avail) for our company's
funding to come in, we finally had to take another job — one that
actually pays us money! Alan is now working for a company called NxLight, which
has some exciting technology for creating legally enforceable electronic
transactions. They are currently located in Building D of the old
WordPerfect buildings down in Orem (that has been a little trip down Memory
Lane, since Alan worked in that building a few years), but their lease is up
shortly and they will be relocating somewhere between Sandy and Orem. We, of
course, are voting for Draper, but anything closer will be better. We are
grateful for this job opportunity and hope that it will be a good company to
work for. It is still O.K. however, to continue to pray that Learnframe's
funding will come in so that we will receive our back pay and investment
money!
Well, January is kind of a slow month which is OK following the Holidays. Just kind of spent the month settling back into The Routine. Stay tuned for next month which promises to be anything but slow....
