I ate a quarter and nearly died. Makes for a good story, right?
Mariano Vidal Nchuchuma Obiang’s baptism!
Lladró store. Note the special Christus and missionary figurines. In the basement of this store was a sword shop that sold the sword of Captain Moroni alongside other famous swords from Lord of the Rings, Gladiator, 300, etc. Pretty cool, eh?
Way impressive cathedral. We got to go inside and it was so stunning: huge stained-glass windows, arches, and the deep, rich tones of a massive organ (of course, we couldn’t take pictures inside). Also there were tons of birds flying around outside.
The Palacio Real (Royal Palace)
Parla/Pinto Elders: Elder Muller, Elder Starley, Elder Brown, and Elder Karren!
In the middle of the plaza, looking one way at the palace and then...
...at the Royal Cathedral directly facing it. (Why is there always a crane in every picture?)
The Parla Palace (as it’s called by missionaries).
Our attic study room that gets pretty hot, but I like the slanty roof and the loft-feel.
