Clark's Thanksgiving Feast
In Kindergarten at Waterford, the kids always get to have a Thanksgiving Feast. They make Pilgrim hats and Indian headbands and some of the parents bring in food. This year there was a Dad who actually fried a whole turkey and brought it to class and carved it for everyone. We brought sweet potatoes.... Anyway, Clark dressed up like an Indian and got to do some fun crafts (the apple turkey was the highlight), in addition to having a feast. Why can't we all be in Kindergarten!

Elliot's Egyptian Day
The same day the Kindergarten was having their feast, the third grade was having Egyptian Day. All the kids dress up and bring food. Elliot and I brought pyramid cakes we made the night before - well, okay, Alan mostly made them. I found the idea in the Family Fun magazine as they were suggesting celebrating the 80th anniversary of the discovery of King Tut's tomb. The class loved the cakes and the surprises they found inside.

Thanksgiving with the Browns
Alan's sister Diane came to Utah for a conference and consequently was here for Thanksgiving. This year however, was our turn to be with the Morgans, so Pat solved that problem by having us all to a Thanksgiving dinner the Sunday before the real holiday. Alan's Aunt Shirley came as well and at the last minute Cheryl Cromar (a good friend of Diane's) dropped by and accepted our invitation to dinner. So we were a merry group enjoying a lot of good food!

Thanksgiving with the Morgans
So, Thanksgiving day rolls around and finds our house filled with no less than thirty people. With my sister's new husband Jared, my parents have 12 children and 18 grandchildren. We sure wish they could have been with us, but I have to think they did look in on us and saw a very big and happy family! Everyone helped with the food and other various assignments like getting the younger kids fed ahead of time and settled in the basement with treats and a movie as well as getting Graco beds set up and babies napping, so that eventually all 12 adults were able to sit down to an uninterrupted 45 minute Thanksgiving dinner. After the previous chaos that somewhat resembled day care, the quiet meal was very enjoyable. Thanks to everyone for so much help!
