In addition to Jared's turkey, we also had a turkey that they had ordered from their ward 'turkey' committee -- some people who decided to dig a big pit in their backyard, put cans of Dr. Pepper into the turkeys, wrap them up, cover them with coals and slow cook them all night. Alan and Jared were careful to contain all the yummy juices to make a very nice gravy.
