So Elliot is exaggerating a bit, but he was actually very excited for our traditional fondue night!
Our friend Steve Lundgren displaying the Lindt chocolate reindeer that I bought (on clearance for .25 each!) to melt down into absolutely delicious chocolate fondue.
According to tradition, if you drop your food into the fondue pot you have to kiss the person standing next to you Hmmm...how interesting to see Clark ducking quickly and Alan thinking I'm the one.....
Loren invited his good friend Anne to come enjoy fondue and play games.
We also had our good friends and neighbors, Steve and Marla Lundgren.
Without even being asked, the girls did all the cleaning up -- how wonderful to have grown up, mature children!
Enjoying a few rounds of "Shut the Box."
Clark and Elliot playing cards and Bananagrams.
Trying out the new "Dice Expansion" game to "Ticket to Ride", one of our favorite games to play with our friends.
Preparing the grapes for the big midnight moment -- 12 each.
Spanish tradition of putting a grape in your mouth at each of the 12 strokes of the clock. We felt bonded with Phillip.
Happy New Year!!!!
Can you see it? 2009.....
After bringing in the New Year, we had to go back and finish the game. Good thing we did too, because I won!
The kids all continued to celebrate!
Just who should be carrying who?....
