Christmas Eve before the guests arrived we gave our kids their "Gift from the heart."
 No it wasn't watching their parents kiss...that was Madeleine's idea and of course Alan always likes kissing suggestions.
 This year our gift was about serving others.
 Everyone got a photo of Aunt Shirley to help us remember those who need our special attention and love.
Loren's and Anne's friends Bev and Alan from Canada joined us for Christmas Eve dinner.
 The traditional Christmas Eve dinner - who knows, maybe next year will we do something radically different. Stay tuned....
 The married kids opened their gifts Christmas Eve before they left since they would be with Anne's family Christmas Day. I made them matching scarves. Anne especially liked hers because it was non-itchy yarn and of course purple is her favorite color...gotta work hard for those mother-in-law points!
