Memorial Day

Here we are in the Moroni Cemetery, at the marker of Daniel H. Cook and Emmeline Draper Cook, my great-great-grandparents.
OK -- last one...Fanny Newton Draper, my great-great-great-grandmother. She was married to William Draper (along with a few other women...) who was the founder of Draper, Utah.
This was the home built in Moroni by my great-great-grandparents Daniel Henry and Emmeline Draper Cook. Of course it looked much different back then.
This was their church building in Moroni which (aside from having the windows replaced and some trees missing) looks amazingly similar to how it did back then.
I thought it was kind of fun that I could see my Grandparents' house between the tree and the church.
Here we are in front of Wilford Lewis and Jenny Marie Breinholt's home in Ephraim where my grandfather Floyd E. Breinholt grew up.
The old workshop where my Great Grandfather Wilford Lewis Breinholt would cut monuments out of stone for headstones.
Wilford Lewis Breinholt made this gorgeous headstone for his parents. His father, Jens Peter Larsen, came to the US from Denmark and changed his last name to Breinholt after a small town in Denmark.
The kids helped us clean up the headstones and water the flowers.
Clark was our best helper.
So, here I am with my Great Grandfather Wilford Lewis Breinholt, his first wife, and my Great Grandmother Jenny Marie.
By the way, we took this drive South in our new Dodge Caravan -- it worked great!
