Pickity Place...
Built in 1786, this house was used by Elizabeth Orton Jones to illustrate her version of the book "Little Red Riding Hood."
This is "Grandmother's House."
My friend Melora and me at Pickety Place in Mason New Hampshire. A very fun place to have lunch -- a bit of a tradition with us now.
Melora and I took a day trip up to Maine to see the most photographed light house in the United States -- Portland Head Light.
Okay -- this is how foggy it really was. We could barely see the lighthouse! I guess that proves how necessary lighthouses are.
They have turned part of the inside into a museum where you can take a self guided tour.
Apperntly Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was a local resident and would walk from Portland to the lighthouse where the keepers were his friends. From here he wrote a poem called..."The Lighthouse."
My friend Melora looking at a display of how the lighthouse changed throughout the years.
Here is a view from the other side.
This is what it would have looked like if it hadn't been foggy (and if I had been up in a helicopter).
New Hampshire color!
 A really pretty drive...
One last color photo.
