Madeleine's new apartment off campus.
It was much easier moving all of her stuff into this apartment than into her dorm room last year. The boys are always great to help.
Here is the "before" picture of Madeleine's room and bed...
You can see it needs a little work!
After all the unpacking and organizing, Madeleine will have somewhere to sleep tonight!
Look at all the storage space that is available if you put your bed up on cinder blocks! All it takes is a trip to Home Depot -- You can do it...they will help? I think her brother Loren helped her...how nice to have siblings in "P" town.
For some reason all the closet doors were missing, so Madeleine got creative and hung curtain panels on a tension rod - smart huh?!
Madeleine is very excited about the kitchen - it is way better than the dorm kitchen.
And of course, there is definitely something to be said for having a "living room" where everyone can relax and entertain -- also something very lacking in a Heritage Halls apartment!
Madeleine putting her registration sticker on her new mode of transportation. She has officially passed on to Elliot the somewhat dented, student driver, family Honda, and is now going to be pedaling a new darling beach cruiser around campus.
After all our hard work, of course we needed to reward ourselves with a shcoop of BYU ice cream at the Creamery on 9th.
Best lemon sherbet ever -- I only asked for one scoop and pretty much got three!
Oh yeah...here is the other reason we needed cold refreshment!
On the way home, I made the boys stop with me to check out the BYU Academy (the original BYU) that has now been restored into city offices and has also become part of the Provo Library.
Elliot and Clark are definitely "photography good sports"!
This is just inside the entrance of the original building looking toward the new library addition at the back.
From the entrance of the new library looking back into the original BYU Academy.
They have some cool photos from back in the day...
...as well as what looks to be the original school bell...
...and of course a bust of good old Brigham Young.
