Stopping for a picnic on the beach along the way. This was Stone Lagoon at Humboldt Lagoons State Park. Clark has "pringle" lips.
Clark likes to share in taking photos which lets me be in a few so that it looks like I was actually on the vacation!
We even had time for a bit of football.
Teenagers sure think its fun to take phone pictures of themselves.
Beautiful Agate Beach is a short distance from Patrick's Point and the Wedding Rock.
The happy group in front of the Agate Beach overlook.
A must do for everyone driving through the Redwoods of California is to go through a drive-thru tree. We barely fit with our car carrier on our roof. The sign claims that this particular tree is 5000 years old. Alan finds this a bit difficult to shvallow.
We spent one night in the Redwoods in Miranda California which is where my good friend Melora spent several years of her childhood. In fact she named her first daughter Miranda.
Miranda Gardens has several cute little cottages right next to a small market.
We had a fun cottage at the end of the drive -- our backyard was Humbolt Forest. We had 2 trees growing up though the middle of our deck.
Tess browning sausage for pizza on our cute little gas stove.
No kidding -- the trees are really big.....
It took all 7 of us to get around this tree.
Everyone standing inside the same tree we were just surrounding.
We had a fun time exploring around -- just watch out for poison oak!
