Here we are at the World War II Memorial - it was a gorgeous day. I loved the fountains!
Next stop, The Vietnam Memorial
And finally, on to the Lincoln Memorial.
We sat on the steps and watched the lights come on as the sun went down.
It was so great to sit on the steps of one memorial and look at the others. You can actually see a piece of the capitol behind the Washington Monument.
This is my brag shot - I took this without flash and without a tripod and it's in focus - cool huh?
Senator Bennett's Office. His office arranged to give us a tour of the Capitol Bldg.
This is the dome of the rotunda inside the Capitol. Very big - very cool.
Here is our group looking up and around at all the amazing art.
Here we are with Abraham Lincoln who was measured by the artist for this very statue the morning of the day he was assassinated.
This is the view coming down the stairs of the Capitol after our tour. Notice how far away the Washington Monument is....
Look what great zoom my new camera has - 10X zoom! You can even see the Lincoln Memorial behind it.
